The episode's reviews were very positive. Critics liked the humour and arcade-style animation during the climax. They also praised Sponghuck's role in the episode, which many found odd, considering he's a character that's usually met with mixed-negative reception.

  • This is the first episode to be rated PG.
    • It was rated PG due to cartoon violence, mild language, use of smoking and the episode's title containing the word "hell".
  • This is the first episode Tyler and Bash don't appear in, although Bash is given a mention.
    • It's also the second episode to not feature Josie.
  • It was emplied in the first film that Stephanie smoked. This episode confirms that.
  • It's revealed that George's bow and arrow can shoot automatically.

    • It's also revealed that they can use each other's weapons, as shown when George uses Sponghuck's shield.
  • It's revealed that without his armour, Sponghuck is the team's weakest member, even weaker than Bash.
  • This is the third time Craig shapeshifts, the first time being in the first film and the second being The Scrapyard Rescue.
  • It's revealed that if Craig sets to yellow on her laser guns and shoot himself, he'll become invulnerable.
    • This only lasts for about 10 seconds, however and he'll move slower when using it.
  • It's revealed that Sponghuck's entire body is made out of sponge, including his skeleton. The only body part that isn't made out of sponge, are his eyeballs.
  • This is the fourth episode where a recurring character has a major role.
    • In this case, The Jellycades.
