Disney Premium is a 24-hour premium channel similar to the the old school Disney Channel (when it was formerly operated as a premium service) from its launch in 1983 to 1996. The programs are mostly aimed towards families, kids, and adults.

Programming[]

Most of its programming would revolve around re-runs of old school Disney shows from the 80's, 90's, and 2000's.

Some new show would air exclusively on the channel all done in the old school fashion, including another revival of the Mickey Mouse Club.

The classic Disney animated shorts released between the 1930s and 1960s, and the Mickey Mouse Works and House of Mouse cartoons (all presented in widescreen) would be aired in a new program called "Mickey & Donald's Cartoon Factory" with new CGI animated intros and outros. Unlike old school Disney Channel airings of the cartoons, Disney Premium airings would have less cuts and edits in the cartoons (only offensive stereotypical scenes and some more violent scenes are cut out).

Movie Airings[]

The channel would air many Disney movies from the classic to the modern age, including almost all of the animated feature films from the canon of Walt Disney Animation Studios. Including first time television airings of Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and Song of the South.

Blocks[]

  • Playtown Disney A preschool morning block that features re-runs of shows targeted at children aged 3–9, aired on Monday through Fridays from 6:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. The block would also feature new CGI animated bumpers featuring Donald Duck in Quackertown (they are very reminiscent to the stop-motion animated Donald Duck's Quackertown bumpers from the old school Disney Channel).
  • Disney Afternoon A revival of the old school "Disney Afternoon" block, airing 3 hours of 6 random old school animated Disney shows from Disney Television Animation, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. every weekday afternoon.
  • From The Disney Vault A weekend nighttime block of the TCM block of the same name, airing classic Disney films and television series from the 1940's to the 1980's, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
