Lady Nimue of the Lake (pronounced NEE-mway) is a major antagonist from The Magic of Camelot. She is an evil water nymph and sorceress bent on taking over Camelot.

Character

Nimue is a tall, attractive woman with pale, almost white, skin, green-blue eyes, red lips, fang-like teeth, and long, flowing white hair. She goes barefoot, and wears a red wrap dress and red veil — said to be crafted from her own blood — and jewelry made from pearls, seashells and kelp. Due to her status as a water nymph, Nimue and her clothes are always dripping wet.

Nimue was originally a friend and mentor to Merlin and Madame Mim, but upon discovering her malevolent intentions, they trapped the nymph in her lake, until she was accidently freed by Bedivere years later. Utterly vain, power-hungry, and now mad for vengence, this nymph will stop at nothing until Camelot is bowing at her feet.

Powers and Abilities

Nimue is a powerful sorceress who can control any liquid, most notably with her signature hemokinesis, the manipulation of blood; depending on whose blood she has access to, she can use it to shapeshift, hypnotise people, or form weapons from it. As the keeper of the Enchanted Lake, Nimue commands all it's inhabitants, including her minions, the kelpies, semi-aquatic equine monsters. Fortunately, the power her lake gives has a price: she cannot leave her lake for long, and must return before sunset if she has left during the day, and vice versa with night and sunrise. Should Nimue not return to the lake before her time limit is up, she riskes turning into ordinary water.
